Momo-Watt, born Kingston Jamaica, is a British Reggae, soul singer/producer and director, started his music career in the UK with one of Jamaica’s leading Vocal Group The Chosen Few, over a period of 10 years the group had several Reggae Hits both in the UK, The Caribbean, USA, Canada and Europe.
The group had hits such as, You’re A Big Girl Now, In The Rain, Love Between A Boy and Girl, Queen Majesty to name a few. December 2011 Momo-Watt launch his solo career with his first single, “Driving Home for Christmas”, This Reggae version is now a Christmas anthem. March 2012 “Me and Mrs. Jones”, November 2013 the EP “Blessed Are the Peace Makers”, which took Momo in March 2014 to perform at the Jamaica Expo, at the Jamaican National Arena.
May 2014 the album “This Is Momo”. July of 2014 Momo sets out to promote the album on his tour around the UK, and later that summer shows in France, Italy, Belgium and Spain returning to Jamaica in June 2015 for “This Is Momo” album Jamaica launch, then a visit to Canada and USA. November 2015 the EP “Like It Is”, November 2016 the single “Mothers and Daughters” which is now played each year on Mother’s day around the world. June 2017 the single “Love Struck” followed by a trip to Ghana with the Chosen Few to perform at Panafest 2017.
On the 13th of July 2018 came the release of “Together in Negril” a song inspired by his next door neighbours, which went on to hold the No.1 spot for 13 weeks in the North Manchester FM International music and Reggae Charts, “Together in Negril” is the No.4 Reggae single for the People’s choice UK Reggae Music Poll for 2018. Momo then followed up in February 2019 with a re-mastered version of “Me and Mrs. Jones” which also dominated the No. 1 spot on North Manchester FM International Music Charts for 12 weeks.
May 2019 Momo teamed up with Kenya Wilson with the single “Isn’t This Something” which also held the number 1 spot in the Global Music Charts. On the 14th November 2019 Momo-Watt released a single “Serious Situation” a song fighting against Gun and knife crimes taken from his latest Album “Obsession”, This held the No.1 spot in February 2020 for two weeks in the Stevie J UK Chart Show. March 2020 Momo released the single “It’s Hammer Time” a tribute to British F1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton MBE.
May 2020 the same Chart Show entered the re-mastered of “Me and Mrs Jones” which held the No.1 spot for three weeks. September 2020, Momo hit the top of the charts again with a song dedicated to Black Lives Matter “A Change Is Gonna Come”. Momo next No.1 hit was “Driving Home for Christmas” and held it for two weeks. Momo latest No.1 is “I Give You Love” three weeks at No.1, Jun/July 2021.
“Together In Negril” once again brought Momo-Watt to the forefront with its re-issue to the world, in December 2021 this beautiful love song once again hit the top of the Stevie J UK Chart Show in February 2022 and held the No.1 position for two weeks. Momo-Watt in March 2022 released a classic from 1979 a reggae version of “Turn Off The Lights”, June 2022 the single “My girl” another classic from the 70’s, November 2022 the single “After Tonight” and December 2022 the Christmas song “O Come All Ye Faithfull” all on the Kufe Records Label.
Momo in November 2022 release is his version of a classic from Matumbi "After Tonight" which is currently the No.1 single in the Stevie J UK Chart Show, making it the first No.1 of 2023. Momo-Watt second solo album “Obsession” is out NOW.
