VENUE: Reggae on the River, Aug 1 - 3, Piercy, CA
Reggae on the River was established in 1984 as a fundraiser to rebuild the Mateel Community Center after their original location, the old fireman’s hall, was burnt down.
This event created a merger of Northern California cannabis culture with Jamaican reggae music. And since then, Reggae on the River has evolved into one of the most recognized and iconic reggae festivals in the world!
Over the course of the last 40 years, over half a million people have made the pilgrimage to this unique setting in Humboldt County on the the Eel River. They’ve come to enjoy the arts, the river, the redwoods, the excitement, the ganja, the people, the unity, and the world renowned artists that only Reggae on the River can offer!
VENUE: SunSka Festival, Aug 1 - 3, Vertheuil, France
The SunSka Festival is, above all, a friendly and festive atmosphere, in a natural setting that invites relaxation. These three days are an opportunity to let yourself be carried away by varied rhythms and share authentic moments. An edition that promises to be rich in emotions and beautiful artistic encounters, under the summer sun of Vertheuil.
A remarkable lineup has already been announced for this edition: Dub Inc, true ambassadors of French reggae, will share the stage with the legendary MC Solaar, who is making a long-awaited return. The Saïan Supa Celebration collective promises a memorable show, while Flavia Coelho will captivate the audience with her energy and mixed sounds. Mister Gang, Stand High Patrol featuring Marina P, and Wandem Sound System will complete this lineup, which promises to be explosive.
This August, Jamaican culture takes the spotlight as Reggae Land Festival returns with a powerful two-day celebration of roots, riddim, and unity. With a lineup that blends reggae icons, dancehall stars, and sound system legends, this year’s edition promises an unforgettable experience for lovers of real music and cultural vibes.
From Chronixx, Capleton, and Mavado to the timeless voice of Marcia Griffiths, Reggae Land 2025 honours the past while celebrating the future of Jamaican music. Expect heavy bass, conscious lyrics, ital food, and Carnival-inspired energy — all in one legendary space.

VENUE: Reggae Lake Festival, Aug 16 - 17, Amsterdam, Netherlands
My first Reggae Lake Festival ended on a high with me getting to see some outstanding Jamaican artists and dancer and I would definitely attend Reggae Lake again and recommend it as a reggae festival to visiting if you are in Europe and love reggae music.
I would say that if you are attending Reggae Lake, this year my top tips would be to walk around and see all the different sound system and their artist line-up, wear comfort shoe, keep an open mind and you’ll have fun (even if it rains).

Outdoor street art exhibitions and exotic cuisine will please your eyes and stomachs. One of the biggest advantages of Zlaté piesky location is natural lake with its offer of boat and water bikes rental and wakeboarding tow.
