Steve Campbell, AKA STEVE SANTANA hails from Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica, West Indies. Campbell’s big break came in 1987 when he was invited to open a show at his school’s annual fair. The line-up also featured an early appearance by Patra, while Foxy Brown, Lady G and Papa San topped the bill. At the time of the concert, Papa San was managed by Sassafras (The People’s Promoter), who was sufficiently impressed with Campbell to offer his services to the young singer. Shamir Tadeiya is one of the most well-renowned ragga and dancehall artists in East Africa. His popularity has extended to the rest of Africa, and parts of Europe, United States, and the Middle East.

Formerly known as Singer X, has revealed that he took a seven-year break from music after signing a bad deal, According to Shamir, his runaway single titled “On Fire” saw a foreign promoter offer him a contract, and he didn’t know what he was setting himself up for. After inking the deal, the promoter went on and offered Shamir’s unreleased music to another artist that he was managing.

After confronting the promoter about the development, he was shown the contract that he signed, leaving him in disbelief. The contract was running for seven years, and he was bound to it like glue.
