The Conscious Underground based in Toronto was founded in 2012. The founding of the group must be viewed in terms of spiritual consciousness. Allan Agard, a founding member relocated to Canada in 1981, as a child with his family. Originally from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean, Allan found the cultural content of the Caribbean to be absent in Canada. 





In those days, the reggae music scene in Canada was all pitiful. Allan then realized that a divine manifestation of spiritual consciousness was needed. The right souls will come together to create the right music at the right time and that give birth to The Conscious Underground. The group’s commitment to consciousness and truth is reflected in many of the group’s writings.
