Leba Hibbert, singer, songwriter, record producer, performer and daughter of the legendary Frederick “Toots” Hibbert now fronts the new-look band, is keeping her father’s legacy alive.
The band is dedicated to celebrate and pay tribute to the man who coined the phrase ‘Reggae’ by performing songs from his extensive catalogue of hits – the likes of 54-52 (Was My Number), Pressure Drop and Monkey Man – as well as songs from her catalogue.
Leba has spent many years performing on stages around the world with her dad, and recorded with reggae greats including Jimmy Cliff on the soundtrack of the movie Lion King, on Sly and Robbie’s 1999 Grammy winning album Friends, and Toots and The Maytals’ 2005 Grammy winning album True Love.
Leba said: “My father spent this life creating a rich musical legacy and he’s respected world wide as one of the greatest reggae singers and musician of all time.”
