Jamaican reggae artist iBlack Lion has released Roots & Reality, a 13-track album reflecting more than 25 years of music, spiritual growth and real-life experiences.
Born Kenroy Williams in Montego Bay, iBlack Lion began his recording career as Black Mice before embracing Rastafari and adopting the name iBlack Lion. His career has included recordings with reggae stalwarts Beres Hammond and Junior Reid.
Roots & Reality brings together conscious reggae, social commentary, romance and messages of gratitude and perseverance. The album includes "Jah Will Give It," "Give Thanks for Life," "Don't Know Your Story," "Waste No Time," "Marijuana We Love," "Mine the Youths" and "Memories Can't Erase."

For iBlack Lion, the album is not simply a collection of songs. It represents the lessons, struggles and spiritual foundation that have shaped his life.
"This album is about the things we face in real life and how we find the strength to keep moving," he said. "I sing about giving thanks, knowing your purpose, treating people with understanding and never allowing difficult times to take away your faith."
That message also extends beyond his music. A committed vegan, iBlack Lion embraces conscious living and Jamaican food culture. He has developed his own line of pepper products for vegan and non-vegan food lovers, connecting his music, lifestyle and entrepreneurial work to the culture that raised him.
The artiste's versatility is also represented through four additional projects. Love Complications explores romance and the challenges of relationships, while Mash Up DI Place turns up the energy with dancehall and party-driven selections.
Two earlier projects, A Better Place (2026 Remastered) and Story of a Dream EP (2026 Remastered), allow longtime supporters to revisit earlier stages of his career while introducing the recordings to a new audience.
